Dog Training Classes

We run dog training classes every week on a Monday at The George Inn Bathampton or Alice Park in Larkhall Bath and on a Wednesday at Bath Vet Group Rosemary Lodge in Bath. Our 8-week puppy class is designed so that you and your puppy learn life skills that you can keep using and adapt as your puppy grows. Our dog club focuses on all the key skills needed to keep your dog of any age to be happy and healthy.

• Educate you about everything dog from the law to how dogs learn
• Enable you to continue with positive life-long training methods

Puppy Class

We run puppy classes every week on a Monday at The George Inn Bathampton or Alice Park in Larkhall,  Bath, and Wednesday at Rosemary Lodge surgery Bath Vet Group in Bath. It is an 8-week course full of fun with your puppy learning how to train your dog positively! Teaching you and your puppy invaluable life skills to form a life long happy healthy relationship! Week 1 is all about you and so there is no need to bring your puppy along- we want you to learn the best of everything so it’s best your puppy has a break on week one so you can focus- this session is online!

We have a maximum of 8 puppies in our in-person class with Sophie our qualified dog trainer, Sophie Norris our aspiring dog trainer or Heather our behaviourist. Throughout the classes you get full email support anytime you need it too, plus a dedicated group for all attendees to share their journey! £115.20 for the whole 8 week course.

We will only accept puppies after their vaccinations and only from 10 weeks of age as a minimum. Puppies must be no more than 6 months old on week 1 of classes. Week 1 is online to prevent boredom and puppies getting cold as we need you to understand terminology and principles before we can take you successfully through the course.

Party bags are provided on week 2 in-person which will have a puppy guide and some treats for you to use with your puppy.

Obedience Class- mayhem to manners

This class is great to follow on from the Puppy Class or to join to help with manners and obedience in your adolescent/adult dog. Any dog over the age of 8 months can join. The aim of the classes is to help bring about manners and obedience during and throughout the adolescent period into adulthood. No dog is too old though to try this course!

It’s £96 for 5 weeks 45 minute classes designed for you and your dog to have fun and learn together.

Our classes take place outside in real-life environments so that your puppy can learn the best in a normal environment. so please dress yourselves appropriately and your pups too!! 

We will only cancel if the weather makes it unsafe to get to the location or unsafe underfoot! We will be working on grassed areas too so wellies may be appropriate. (only ever canceled twice)

There are toilets at both locations and there is a lovely cafe in Alice park! 

There is ample parking at all venues!

Obedience Class- Mayhem to Manners -Course breakdown

Week 1: teach a sit and wait: impulse control and frustration tolerance at the forefront- give your dog access to the skills that make your life and their easier!

Week 2: Walk to heel: tired of being dragged? Here you can learn and teach your dog not to pull.
Week 3: Teach a leave it and release cue: does your dog pick things up and don’t give them back? Are you fed up of them pushing through doors and not waiting for you to ay its ok? This week will focus on manners.

Week 4: teach your dog to come back to you. This week focus is on getting your dog back to you when you call them.

Week 5: Send around week- a little bit of trick train but a cool thing to be able to master and then on to the test to see what you have learned in the last 4 weeks.

Our classes take place outside so please dress yourselves appropriately and your pups too!!  We will only cancel if the weather makes it unsafe to get to the location or unsafe underfoot! We will be working on grassed areas too so wellies may be appropriate. There are toilets inside the vets or pub for us to use each week too. We will provide comfy bedding for the puppies, but please feel free to bring along a blanket or something that smells like home to allow your pup to be comfortable. Goodie bags are given out on week 1 and treats are always with us every week. On the last week we will hand you out your certificate of completion! Classes start at 5pm 6pm or 7pm (depending on which class and venue) and there is ample parking for you at our venues.

• We will only accept puppies after their first week vaccination and only from 8 weeks of age and up to 6 months old for puppy class and dogs over 6 months for the mayhem to manners.
• We are members of a variety of different bodies, so you can rest assured that our methods are positive, genuine and kind.
